CURRICULUM

The toddler room uses a High/Scope curriculum to teach new concepts.  This curriculum uses daily, developmental experiences that the children will eventually master.  The activites are deisgned to be hands-on, with the teacher acting as a guide to the learning.  The purpose of each activity is the process, not the end product.

Toddlers will have two or three "small group experiences" a week.  The purpose of the activities are to start the children to focus their attention on what they are doing for a short period of time.  These activities are only done two or three times a week so that the children do not get tired of them, and to still encourage socialization through play.
